REGINA, Sask., December 9, 2015 - The Office of the Provincial Auditor would like to congratulate Deputy Provincial Auditor Bashar Ahmad on his upcoming retirement. Mr. Ahmad has been with the Office since June of 1980, when he began as an Audit Supervisor. He was appointed to the position of Deputy Provincial Auditor in 1991.

“The Office will greatly miss Bashar's insight, expertise, and knowledge, particularly that of the health care sector,” says Provincial Auditor Judy Ferguson.

A career highlight for Mr. Ahmad has been the opportunity to face and resolve challenges and difficult issues in a professional manner. “My career has been extremely satisfying and rewarding,” he says. “I have nothing but gratitude for my colleagues, both those who are still working here, and those who are already enjoying their retirement.”

His official last day in the office will be in mid-February.

The Office of the Provincial Auditor serves the Members of the Legislative Assembly and the people of Saskatchewan by providing independent assurance and advice on the management, governance, and effective use of public resources.
