REGINA, Sask.—On behalf of the auditors general of most provinces as well as the Auditor General of Canada, the federal Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development, Julie Gelfand, will be presenting a collaborative report titled “Perspectives on Climate Change Action in Canada: A Collaborative Report from Auditors General” for tabling in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 27 March 2018.
This collaborative report builds on audit work released over the last 18 months in most provinces, in the three northern territories and at the federal level to provide an overall assessment of whether federal, provincial, and territorial governments have met their commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change. The collaborative report will provide an independent, big picture review of the state of governmental actions on climate change commitments across the country.

The Report will be made available on the Office of the Auditor General of Canada website immediately following tabling. It will also be available on the Provincial Auditor of Saskatchewan’s website the day of the release. |
